Donkey of the Day

Each round, the participant whose worst-scoring drawn golfer posts the highest score of the day wins the donkey crown — and £5. All drawn golfers count, dropped picks included. Ties: the £5 rolls into the next round's pot.

No donkeys crowned yet. Check back after Round 1.

Donkey of the Day (per round)£5
Upload the draw JSON with an entry fee and the pot splits automatically: £5 per round Donkey money off the top, the rest divided 140 : 45 : 20 between 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Donkey Derby: £5 per round goes to whoever owns the worst-scoring drawn golfer that day. A tie means the £5 rolls into the next day's pot. See the Donkey tab for current standings.

How it works

Each participant has golfers drawn across tiers (set by the uploaded draw). Only their best counting scores sum to their total — the lowest-scoring picks are dropped automatically.
Cut rule: Top 70 and ties after 36 holes. Golfers who miss the cut score 0 points regardless of their 36-hole total. A made-cut golfer who plays the weekend always finishes above a missed-cut golfer, even if their 4-round total looks worse on paper.

🔐 Admin Passphrase
Needed to save the draw or scores to the cloud for everyone. Viewers don't need it.
🎩 Draw & Pot
Upload or paste the draw JSON: entrants, their golfers in tier order, and the entry_fee. The pot splits in the 140:45:20 ratio after £5 per round Donkey money.
With the passphrase entered, Apply Draw saves to the cloud — everyone sees it on refresh, no redeploy. The download is a backup; a draw.json file next to index.html still works as a fallback.

↻ Fetch Live Scores
⚠ Live fetch needs the Claude API (CORS). Works in Claude artifact preview; usually blocked on static hosts like Cloudflare Pages. Use Paste JSON instead.
Paste Leaderboard JSON
Accepts either the native shape (with scores object) or the round-by-round shape (with players array and cut_line).
For deployment
Scores also save to the cloud when you hit Update with the passphrase entered. This download is a backup; a scores.json file next to index.html works as a fallback if the cloud is unreachable.
